Insights into the P7S1 cosmos
Four times a year, we organise our Welcome Day, where we warmly welcome all new colleagues as part of the onboarding process at P7S1. And even after that, our newbies have a colleague by their side who operates as their "buddy". This person helps and assists with various organisational tasks related to their start in the company.
We are a very diverse company with many different departments. In the beginning, it can be quite challenging to understand the big picture. Thats why several speakers from various departments provided insights into their job functions. For example, our new colleagues got an insight into the strategy department, learned about the creation of content formats, and received interesting information about Joyn.

A highlight was the tour of our taff-studio, the video and audio control room, and the playout center.
The video and audio control room (television control room), is where all the video and audio signals of a show come together. Here, they are recorded in flawless technical quality according to the shows rundown or broadcast live "on air".
The playout center is the central control center for one or more television channels, where audiovisual content and control signals are processed and prepared for broadcasting. At the same time, the smooth operation of all individual shows throughout the day is controlled and monitored.

On top of the tours and presentations, there were also some other cool activities. For fun and entertainment, there was a get-to-know-you game and a quiz where the newbies could test their knowledge of P7S1. In the afternoon, taff presenter Christian Düren even made a surprise visit to personally welcome all the new colleagues and talked about his career journey and everyday life as a TV presenter. Of course, there was also plenty of time for networking and chatting. The day ended with a nice after-work and refreshing drinks.

You moderated the Welcome Day. What did you consider as personal highlights?
L: For me personally, one of the highlights was the fact that the event took place in person again. This definitely made networking and getting to know each other much easier. As for the presentations, I found it particularly exciting to learn more about the process of creating a content format. But the presentation on "Safety and Culture" by our colleague Knut in a Super Man costume will definitely stay with me (laughs).
A: I completely agree. The participants really enjoyed the day and it allowed us to convey the P7S1 spirit even better. The tour of the studio, the playout center, and the video and audio control room were also highlights for me, as well as the after-work (laughs).

How has your onboarding been so far?
I joined at Seven. One AdFactory as a project manager at the beginning of the year, where I also did an internship last year. Thats why the onboarding process might have been a bit different than usual because I was already familiar with a lot of things. Of course, I still receive support from the team, I feel very comfortable, and I have settled in well over the past few weeks. I have been warmly welcomed from all sides.
Franziska, Junior Project Manager

What are you looking forward to in the coming weeks and months?
I just started in campaign management at Seven. One Media on March 1st, but I can already say that my expectations have been exceeded in many ways. I am excited to continue developing my professional skills and be a valuable support to the team. Of course, I also hope to settle in quickly and get to know many people in the company – I had a strong network at my previous employer as well.
Patrick, Manager
What did you particularly enjoy today?
For me, the timing of the Welcome Day today was perfect, as I just started as a Junior Media Manager at Seven. One Entertainment Group on the 1st of March. I especially enjoyed the creative presentations, as they were conducted in a dialogue format and presented with cool ideas. The speakers were very inspiring and made a charismatic impression. I also appreciated that most of them have been with the company for many years. This speaks highly of ProSiebenSat.1.

We wish all new colleagues a great start at ProSiebenSat.1 and many "moments that matter"!
